Frizzy, Poofy, Very Curly, Brown hair with golden highlights?

I have the poofiest, frizziest, curliest, brown hair with golden highlights ever! What kind of products should I use on it and would it be less poofier if I let it grow out? i already use mousse but it is still poofy! When I try to straighten my hair it takes forever!!! Any suggestions?

There's lots of stuff on the market to choose from. I love Silk and Sexy Hair Concepts. You can buy both at Sally's Beauty Supply. Also John Frida Anti-Frizz Serum is good, you can get that at Walmart or any drugstore.

Maybe you should think about what's causing you to have a case of the frizzies. Here's some tips I can give you. Never brush wet hair. You can break your hair very easily that way. If you have wavy/curly hair and you think by brushing it after you shower will help it be straighter, you couldn't be more wrong. Don't kill your hair with the towel either. Gently blot and squeeze the towel over wet hair. Let it dry naturally or put an anti frizz cream in it and then blow dry, but don't brush until it's dry, then style. Did you know that over-conditioning your hair can cause it to be frizzy too? It can cause you to have flufffy fly-away hair. Just use conditioner according to what the bottle says. No more, no less. It's also good to go get a trim at the salon to get the split ends cut off your hair every couple of months. I have wavy hair, but I grab a section of my hair and curl it with a 2" curling iron, then I pin it up with a big clip and grab another section and curl it, etc. I like the 2" curling iron because it straightens my hair, but doesn't leave it flat. It has volume, but it's straight. Those are sold are Sally's and Conair also makes one.

Thanks for choosing me. Another thing I want to mention is getting an "ion" hair dryer. It cuts down on frizz. Report It

Try Garnier Fructis!

Growing it out will not make it less poofy, believe me. If it is extremely poofy and you REALLY want to make it less poofy, you might want to try chemically straightening it. Either that or get Frizzease spray, it works really well.

I have very thick, poofy, wavy hair...and tend to have the same problem. I would suggest using a really heavy good conditioner, and gel. I also would suggest buying a salon style straightner. They can range a little higher than the type at most stores, but they aren't as hard on your hair and save a lot of time. I use one a chi brand...its amazing.

Curly hair is usually dry hair.Use a good conditioner and towel dry only.Squeeze the water out do`nt rub your hair with the towel, that will damage your hair.do`nt use heat to dry your hair, that only dries it out and does more damage.Do`nt use chemicals to make your hair straight, chemicals will do more damage.

DO NOT chemically straighten it if your hair is naturally that curly. I know people with your type of hair who have and 1) the texture of the hair turns nasty 2) your hair will grow back curly so you will have curly roots which looks retarded.

Let it grow longer and usually your hair will weigh down the curlyness. And use products for your hair type

Go to the salon and ask for them to thin it. They have a special pair of scissors for this. The longer my hair is, the heavier it is and should be less frizzy... (hopefully!)

I use Tresemme shampoo in Moisture Rich. I really like it. For straightening your hair, blow dry it first and then use a ceramic straightener or curling iron.

I have the same exact problem that you do. Use Sunsilks de-frizz shampoo, conditioner, and anti- frizz serum. This will work with continued use. It will get less poofy as you let it grow out. I have had the exact same problems. Also, if you have layers, make sure that the shortest layer at least passes the bottom of you ear or else you will look like you have an afro. Plus, when you are in the shower, after shampooing of course, put in conditioner and comb through your hair. Then put on a shower cap for about ten minutes while the conditioner is still in you hair. This will hydrate it. Do this about twice a week. And lastly, COMB through your hair while it is wet. this will set it. Hope this works for you!!!
