Dying already dyed brown hair!!?

heya..

im 17 and iv had my hair highlighted blonde since i was about 14..a couple of months ago i dyed my hair dark reddy/brown and then had highlights a month ago to lighten my hair..this went horribly wrong as it accentuated the red!! so i ended up dying my hair back brown to a dark/medium brown. I am now wanting to dye my hair a dark blonde/golden blonde for summer. can i get this done eaily in a hairdressers?? i dont want my hair to go wrong again as i'v had so much trouble with it and im never happy with the outcome!! what shall i do?!

The permanent hir colour may be a problem especially as you mentioned the red.

The best option is to leave your colour to fade as much as possible before even going to a salon.

Go in for a consultation and tell them what colours you have put on your hair, discuss what colour you want to acheive and then they should do a strand test on a piece of your hair.

The strand test will determine what products and strengths they have to use and what colour is acheivable plus it checks that your hair is healthly enough to take the treatments.

If it is an all over colour you want then a colour striper will be needed to remove the colour on your hair. There are no guarntees how light you can get the hair colour. colour can build up in certain areas and when the striper is allpied and then removed the all over colour may appear patchy, if this does happen don't worry as a colour will have to be applied over the top anyway.

This process can damage your hair and will only be done on strong hair.
