Fair skin and dark brown hair??

I have medium brown boring hair color. I really wnat to dye it a dark espresso brown. Would this look bad on my skin? I am fair skinned with a slight tan, have green eyes, and spiral curls. I dont wanna look washed out or anything. So do you think this color would be OK?

Well I just did the same thing my hair was pretty light though.. but i like it allot it bring out my features i have blue eyes so it makes them look better i think. %26amp; im 100% irish and white as they come my friends all like it better this way.

Because your hair is already brown it should look great on you. But try looking for dyes that match your hair already. You don't want to go any farther then two shades darker or it wont look right. If your hair has a slight golden tone to it, by a dye with golden undertones, if your hair has ashy undertones, which means its more blueish *not acutally blue, but not red or gold*, then by a dye with ash.

well, instead of making it a shade darker, make it a shade lighter and you wont look washed out becuz dark hair/fair skin makes u look sorta gothy.. but its kinda up to you

Absolutely, try a different color (at least 2 shades darker in a 4 week temporary haircolor to see an noticable change or use a color conditioner for a more subtle change or a period of time). Green eye color with any complextion and the right brown will bring out your eye color. Just remember eveyone's idea of the color "espresso" is different. It's just hair and if you don't try it how will you know if you'll like it or not?
