Back to my brown hair?

Hey guys. I have dark brown hair now and i'm really getting sick of it and i wanna go back to light brown. I called the clairol 1-800 number to get some answers...haha. but she told me i have to bleach my hair to the yellow stage and i already know that. She also told me after that to go to wal-mart and get nice n easy natural reddish blonde and this will be for the filler i guess right? or the toner? She also told me to buy nice n easy dark blonde.Then she told me to get to light brown i have to put the red blonde (color only) on my damp hair for 20 minutes and leave it there and not wash it out. Next, with the red color still on my hair, she said to take half of the color and half of the developer from the dark blonde kit and mix them and put them on top of the red thats on my hair and leave it for 20. Then she told me to wash that out. I can trust that this will get me to the color i want. But can't i just go to sally's and buy the color there because i already have developer.Thanks

Wow I really think she was just trying to sell a whole bunch of products. It would probably be much easier and even cheaper to get it done by a professionaly and then you can be sure there is no mess ups. I really doubt you need to go through all that junk. When I dyed my hair a lighter brown before I only used ONE kit and my hair was originally dark brown. Good luck!

Ok if you dyed your hair a darker color then it naturally is do it the simple way. Go to say...Wal Mart, buy L'oreals color remover kit (use it ) Then pick whatever color you want your hair to be and dye it that color. Make sure if you use the color remover that you do dye your hair again, if you don't it will strip the oil from you hair and make it brittle. If your hair is naturally a light brown I would suggest any of the honey or dusty blonde to chestnut colors..Good luck.

You should get blonde hair and get pink highlights, thats what im going too do. It looks very good with blonde, dont do it with your brown hair, thats just a tip dont worry! Im not telling you what too do.

Sincy you already have developer, you can just go and get an ash blond color, and dye it all. You may still end up with lotso red highlights, that's just part of having that dark brown base color, and they take several processes to get rid of. If you want to get an all in one kit, I reccomend the loreal products, their conditioner is really nice, and I have minimal red tones left.
