This is describing me and my friend. We have almost exactly the same personality and body shape. The only thing different is our colouring. I am not sure what you mean by product, but if you mean chemical, you can put lemon juice in your hair and go outside, which will lighten it or there are shampoos you can use to gradually change your hair color which are nonpermanent.

After/If you decide to re-dye it, try looking into a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for color treated hair. Garnier Fructis has a good color treated hair shampoo/conditioner that I use. I love it.

well im a hair stylist and i would say go and but some lolites in it to make up hair look darker instead of coloring it all over because you have bleach on your hair now to make the hair blonde and if you put an all over color on and say you dont like it then you have to bleach the dark had then you will have that bleach under that color. So in other words i would say just put some lolites in to make it look darker.

have you tried a party dye? the temporary dye that washes out? make sure you like it first. or go play in a wig shop.try on wigs with the same color scheme you are interested in.

The only advice I can give you is go to the salon!! Do not try this at home. So many brunettes try to do at home highlights and end up with orange streaks, which is no bueno! If you go to the salon, get recommendations from your friends, family, co-workers, etc. on which hair colorist to use. You do not want to end up with chunky or brassy highlights - it looks awful!

Depends how dark it is... the only way to lighten it is thru bleach, tint doesnt lighten tint so will not work. i would recommend doing foil highlights to get some lightness but keep in mind if your hair is dark brown it will lighten out orange... or be a gold blonde. it will damage your hair but if done properly and with the correct home hair care you should be OK. it will take a few colours to get it back to the way it was, the slower you do it the less damaging it is.

definitely go to a salon and do foils... if you dont have a hairdresser you're in love with, ask for recommendations; when there, tell them what type of look you're going for, not just "i want highlights..." but more specific things you want the lighter hair to accomplish such as make your eyes pop or accent your skintone- they'll be able to pick the right color for you

definitely don't do it yourself, i used to dye my hair at home and trust me, salons are more expensive but welll worth the money. hope that helps :)

I have seen a lot of people do this before and i think it looks really cool, Lacey from So You Think You Can Dance had red streaks in here hair and it looked really cool. I'am a hairdresser and that is bleach 6% bleach i would guess i dont think it would look funny but it would stand out if you want to be noticed.

I would give you a I would give you a 8% bleach and copper or caramel tone through your hair so it would not look so choppy with colour.

I would suggest using a gentler, semi-permanent dye first, then a more lasting dye a while after that. l'oreal have good colours. personally, i wouldnt colour my hair at home myself because the colours make you har dryer, the colours have more chemicals in them, they are harder to get out if you change your mind, people always miss spots, they don't come out like they look on the box, they ALWAYS have red in them and yeah.. thats it basically.

but if i WERE to do it. look for something on the box that says "natural" but it will still go a bit red because it reacts with the natural colour pigments in you hair and then when you get in the sun that will effect it too.

I have always found that a hair dye that has anti-colour fade in it, keeps my hair a nice, warm shade of brown. I also do a conditioning mask treatment on my hair about once a week, which I find helps to keep my hair rich and silky. You are right to stay away from the reds and coppers because they are so hard to get rid of if you get them and then decide you don't like them. The red pigmentation stays in your hair for ages. I will be a dark brunette for the rest of my life 'cause I just love the colour.

I have naturally dark brown hair and used to maintain blonde hair in high school. When I started going blonde, I began with heavy highlights done every 6 weeks. Each time my highlights became lighter. After the first 6 months, I began to get a double process color, where the hairstylist lightened all of my hair to a honey blonde, then added platinum highlights on top of that. Once I started getting the double process color, I had to go in for root touch ups every 3-4 weeks.

Overall, the look was very high maintenance to keep up, and I easily spent around $70-$100 each visit, which ended up being around $100-150 per month, with haircut. I had also been going to my hairstylist for 3-4 years by then, so I was paying a lot less than I would going to a different upscale salon (it could have been at least $150 per visit).

My favorite look for brown hair are purple eye shadows. I just recently bought two colors from MAC online. MAC Crystal and Shale. What i do is take the lighter of the two and cover the whole lid. Then take the darker color and put it in the crease. Fill in your brows with pencil or whatever you use, and apply black mascara. There is also a Lip gloss from MAC called Little VI and it looks great with these eye shadows as well. If you don't have a MAC store you can order them online at maccosmetics.com or look on the website and just go to a drug store and find colors that are pretty close. And for the truest color and a crease free eye use eyeshadow primer before your eye shadow.

I have natural dark brown hair as well. I usually do red, blond and light brown highlights through out all of my hair, not just on the top. Most brunettes have natural red highlights anyway if they stay out in the sun enough for the highlights to show up.

Just tell your stylist the color(s) you are thinking of for highlights, whether you want them on top or layered through your hair and then ask what their opinion is. Oh and make sure you ask how much its going to be. Layered cost more than on top because it takes longer usually.

I do my own at home over a period of two days with my highlighting materials and some foil. Thats always an option as well.

I recently bleached my hair (and got this crazy copper color), but it was cool because I put a beautiful "meduim golden brown" overtop of it. The problem is, i still see some red in my hair and I don't like it. I know that "ash" tones are greenbased and cancel out red tones. My fear is the "golden" part that is already in my hair.

I know the "ash brown" will cancel the red I see in my hair, but will it turn my "golden brown" green? I can't re-bleach my hair cuz it will fall out. Everyone's hair is different, so it's hard to tell. You probably have dark hair to begin with, since you got the copper effect with the bleach. Your best bet would be to buy the color, and do the strip test they recommend, where you snip off a small section of hair and apply the color. It might seem like a pain to have to buy the dye and do the test, but it will pay off when you see how the results turn out, saving yourself a green-haired disaster!!!

actually if you are pale and you naturally have dark hair going blonde will wash out your face and you will just look like a big pile of beige. i think u should go brown and if you really want to you could get carmel or even blonde highlights (very small ones). brown hair actually frames the face and brings out tones and colors in the skin and eyes where as dyed blonde hair just washes you out and you will look more pale and colorless. brown hair is much more versatile and it allows you to wear more colors. and by the way im a natural blonde so im not saying this to get a point for the brunettes. good luck im sure you will look great no matter what!

if your hair is currently colored, your best bet is to go to a *good* professional salon who deals with color corrections a lot (and specifically ask if they have a stylist who specializes in asian hair). personally, i would use a color remover to get all that artificial color out of your hair and then use a cool-based (cool bases are green, blue, or violet; i tend to stay away from green, which is generally ash, and looks fake and gross) brown color in the level you pick out (level meaning darkness factor) after the color remover. the color remover we use in my salon is not harsh like a color STRIPPER. there is no ammonia nor peroxide; it just stinks to high heaven lol. and you wouldn't have to remove the color all the way up to a blonde; just remove it up to the level of color you want to be. it is not a difficult process if you get a professional who is well versed in color correction. i would request a stylist who has been licensed for at least 4 years, and does a lot of color. if you have a local regis, try calling them. that's where i work, and in my town, we do the most color corrections. and i do a vast majority of them. be sure to tell the stylist that your colors tend to fade quickly; this may be due to a lower quality shampoo you may be using as well. professional quality color care shampoos are a must after a color correction especially.

Your hair is extremely dry possibly from being over processed if you regularly dye your hair. When the hair shaft is dry, it is porous and sucks up too much colour therefore making it darker. I'm surprised the person you dealt with at your salon did not tell you this... or warn you that it would possibly happen. They should be able to determine the condition of your hair before they even begin to put dyes on it... The way to avoid this from happening is to give your hair a break and not colour it for awhile. Grow it out a bit and then trim off all of the damaged areas. Make sure you eat healthily and drink plenty of water. Dry hair that hasn't been over processed is down to diet most of the time.

My suggestions for Make up... I think your skin would look pretty with some subtle bare minerals makeup; a little bit of light, pink blush; Two coats of Lanc涔坢e (Definicils) mascara, and some light colored or clear lip gloss. The eyeliner depends on the size and shape of your eyes. You can play with it to make your eyes look smaller, bigger, and even genie-like. I really love and recommend bare minerals i.d. make up. It閳ユ獨 affordable and a great choice compared to pretty-but-heavy-studio make up, like M.A.C. beautiful colors, but so harmful to your skin in the long run. I would skip the eye shadow for a more natural look. But I do love the M.A.C eyelash curler. You can use it to curl your lashes before applying your two later of definicils mascara :) or if you don閳ユ獩 like to wear eye make up (I do), you can wear light colors of eye shadow and a pretty nude, pinkish colored lipstick. But don閳ユ獩 skip the light blush :)

for your hair, try putting in a low ponytail with side bangs. that always looks good. or curling it with 1 1/2 barrel, so that you get big, loose waves. newboys caps look good too.

makeup, teal or eggplant cream eyeliner with a bronze color eyeshadow and shimmery gold eyeshadow to highlight ur browbone. and super black mascara for lashes. for the lips, a light pink lipgloss and cheeks a peach/goldish blush ( nars orgasm) is the best!!

I've tried this before, too...I'd imagine that your highlighted hair may have a toner on it and isn't taking the dye properly. It may not take it at all. If it does not have a toner, select an "ash" colour that does not have any gold in it to counter balance the gold in the blonde. Since your hair is highlighted, part of it may take the dye but the highlighted part may still not take.

I know it may be more expensive but I suggest going to a stylist and telling them exactly what you want. You may actually save money in the long run from buying numerous dyes and products to fix it if it doesn't turn out the way you like.

Garnier Nutrisse and Excellence Creme are both great hair dyes I have been using both for years. When using Garnier be aware than for some reason their dye goes about 2 shades darker than shown on the box.

red is a difficult color to cover. the pigment is very strong. you will need to use an ash shade. remember that 20.volume peroxide lifts 1-2 shades. so be careful how long you leave it on as your red pigment will go orange. are you really sure you want to change all your color?? why not try lo-lights in an ash tone. once you start coloring your hair you have to keep up with it.

that's my personal opinion.

before you ruin your looks, remember if you don't like it. your hair is going to be bleached out at the roots...and that is harsh on your hair, I would hate for you to end up with fried, brittle hair.

why don't you go to a reputable wig shop and find the color you are thinking of and try it on? I know there are websites that you can downnload your pic. and then pick different hairstyles and colors to see how you would look. try google. but please don't be hasty in your decision, unless you are really easygoing and fried hair won't bug you too much...

Personally, I don't really like the look of dark beautiful hair with light highlights. I think you should either go for an Auburn or a brownish red color, or go for a medium brown that isn't too drastically different from your color now.

You have very beautiful hair as is, so make sure not to damage it too much when coloring it, or mess with the color to the point where it looks bad.

Your hair will be darker at the roots, but as it grows out it will become lighter like your natural hair color. You will probably have to keep getting your hair dyed darker if you want it to stay that way. Everytime you wash it, your color will fade a little bit. However, washing your hair in cool water will keep the color in longer.

no, i dont understand how her hair started growing like that unless it was her natural, or it was a cold season. sometimes the sun is what lightens your hair so thats a way to homeade lighten it up but if you want your hair dark... as your hair grows your natural hair color will be at the roots, the more your hair grows the more of the root color will show. however sometimes its for the better. i dyed my hair.. and by now my natural color covers about the whole top half but its a suttle difference.. i got some highlights and everyone seems to love it... it will be fine if it grows out your natural color.... it looks better that way sometimes. = ]
