My skin tone is light, I have brown hair and I'm thinking of dying my hair blonde with cherry red highlights? or putting blonde highlights in my hair? What would you suggest I do, if i'm light skined, mexican and have brown hair. help me out people!

have you tried a party dye? the temporary dye that washes out? make sure you like it first. or go play in a wig shop.try on wigs with the same color scheme you are interested in.

The only advice I can give you is go to the salon!! Do not try this at home. So many brunettes try to do at home highlights and end up with orange streaks, which is no bueno! If you go to the salon, get recommendations from your friends, family, co-workers, etc. on which hair colorist to use. You do not want to end up with chunky or brassy highlights - it looks awful!

Forget the cherry red....stick with the blond highlights and have it done at a salon. It will look awesome, but will probably cost about $100.

cherry red because every one has red whatever thy call it dark colored hair will allways turn red blond will not work inless you strip your own color out go to the salon have them frost your hair are highlightes its best in the long run to have it done if you can offord it you will save yourself a lot of headaches.

If you have anything darker than really light brown hair I would not do it and especially don't put bright red highlights on light hair that would just look silly.

I have really dark brown hair and I got a lighter brown with natural reddish-caramel colored highlights and it looks good. If you don't want to dye it a lot, don't get permanent or get one close to your natural hair color.
