Dark Brown Hair Help?

I currently dyed my hair to a med. brown to cover up the brassy orange-brown haircolor i had before, but after i used med. brown. my hair came out to a dark brown. i like the color but after awhile the root part started to get lighter meanwhile the ends are still dark.

My hair naturally is wavy. It doesnt tell. until i straighten my hair

i wish i could take a pic to show you a pic. but the sidekick camera is kinda shitty.

buuuut i would like to know what can i do to lighten my ends

..

thanks alot :D

Dark Brown Hair Help?

i would recommend seeing a professional stylist about it n seeing if they can redye ur hair it may have been the way that u applied ur dye. hair dye changes color in the hair closer 2 ur head then it does to ur ends b/c ur scalp is warm n dye reacts quicker to heat thats y when ur at a salon they put u under a dryer or a heat lamp to speed up the process. also color just naturally fades so it maybe that the color has just faded. i wouldnt recommend to u that u dye it urself but if u really wanna take that route try 2 get a dye thats close 2 the color of the top of ur hair n apply it on the ends only then once it comes off if the differences r too noticeable take the left overs from the dye n apply it only on the top of ur head n only leave it on for half of the time u left the bottom half on. good luck!

The ends of your hair are overprocessed due to the fact that the dye runs downward when you apply it. It damages your ends, and make them too porous. Next time you color, use a protective serum on the ends, and only color your roots. You can comb the color through the rest of your hair about two minutes before you wash the color out- to keep the roots from grabbing too much color again. I've been coloring my hair for years, and I have learned this by trial and error.
