I need a good brown hair dye - recommendations?

In August, I dyed my hair red with L'Oreal's Feria hair dye in 67 Cardinal. My hair is naturally medium-dark brown. My skin is extremely pale with cool/natural undertones and my eyes are light grey/blue. My hair tends not to absorb dye well sometimes.

I want to dye my hair a cool medium-dark brown, because my roots are coming in and they look horrible (my hair grows very fast). Any recommendations for a good drug store brand %26amp; shade?

I suggest a chestnut-brownish color with Revlon or Colorsilk.

Doesn't Feria have a good brown color? I have heard from my friends that this is one of the better hair dyes.

My Sister just did mine with Clairol prefference (rich). We bought it at Sallys, with the volume 10 developer. My hair is a very dark brown though. one of the gals at Sallys should be able to help you with the color choice. I am very happy with the product.
