Blond highlights on dark brown hair?????

i have long dark brown hair and i feel so boring!!i want skinny blond highlights and a lot f them.will this look good or not??or would it be 2 drastic??

any other suggestions i could try?

I think that would be fine. I have blonde and red highlights in my hair but only on the top layer. The underneath is kept natural. That way it is easy to maintain as I only have to get the outside done. Ask a stylist which colour(s) will look the best with your hair colour and skin tone.

Well... i also have dark brown hair and i went to get my hair done this week. I asked for very subtle light brown highlights that would look natural. Unfortunately i got blond and it is NOT good. I really wouldn't reccomend it. I think the unnatural highlighted look is completely out of style and i regret mine. Maybe get some slightly light brown (i had that once before and it looked nice) or some redish tones. You can also get lowlight which make parts of your hair darker.

i have dark brown hair and it is like middle of my back length.. I got highlights and low lights put in it and I didnt like them, I like the red i got put in, but not hte blonde, too much of a drastic change for me. I don't know I colored my hair back to my org, color bc i like my dark hair personally.

i wouldnt go w/ blonde if u hav dark hair u should try a lighter brown/ huney color to accent your dark hair. it will look much more natural

I think it would look good -- Just don't go bleach blonde .. A caramely color blonde would look best on dark brown.

Don't try to do them yourself, at least not the first time.

Go for it that will make your hair look more interesting. Everyone needs a change somtimes. I have blonde hair, but i got bored of it so i put brown streaks in it and it looked really good. All i have to do is die over my straeks if i ever want to go back. If you want to redye just go in for a root touchup. Don't go crazy with overdying it or it will fall out. I'd say go for root touchup every 2/3 months. Brown is easy to dye back so it won't be to drastic if you put in blonde.

I wouldn't go super blond. Perhaps dirty blond or ash-blonde.

The best thing to do would to be ask a cosmotition before you purchase your hair dye.

Go to a pro and get something closer to your natural color but lighter.

i would go with a darker blonde. i have dark brown hair and i got bright blonde highlights and i looked like a skunck. yyes i think u will look good with lots of thin ones

You should try the paint on and wash out highlights, this way you can experiment on the level of colors that match your natural hair color..when you find the one that matches up best. have it done professionally at a salon with the color that you have chosen to use..

Too drastic. I would get low lights or light, almost medium brown highlights. That would look good, but not blonde.

i have the same type of hair as u and i felt the same way so i got caramel highlights. i wouls ask for 'sunkissed' highlights and ask if they can start them about a half inch back from your face. they will look more natural

I have dark brown hair and thats never the way I would go.Ii would do a lighter brown or maybe some red/copper highlights. I mean hair should look natural. In my opinion hair that is too processed or two opposite toned just doesnt look good. Dark hair is really dramatic and with a different hair cut and some red highlights you'll look amazing. And remember that makeup also can make you look more dramatic. A smokey eye with plum shadow and a glossy clear lip is the perfect palate for a brilliant brunette! Good Luck!
